Filip Salaquarda and Toni Vilander produced an impressive performance in mixed conditions to give their AF Corse Ferrari team its first victory in the GT1 World Championship at the Slovakiaring today. Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Tomas Enge came home second, after a remarkable fighting drive by the latter driver in increasingly wet conditions.

Matt Halliday and Mike Parisy made up for their race-one grid penalty by winning the second GT1 World Championship race of the weekend at Zolder. Starting from third on the grid, both #9 Exim Bank Team China Porsche 911 drivers put in a masterful performance in yet another rain-affected race where tyre choice was crucial.

GT1 World Championship: Bartels and Buurman win for BMW

The BMW Z4 scored its first win in the GT1 World Championship at Zolder on Saturday, in the hands of Michael Bartels and Yelmer Buurman of Vita4One Racing. In classic GT1 style, a hectic one-hour qualifying race saw close fights for all the podium positions right up to the chequered flag.

GT1 World Championship: Audi on pole at Zolder after Porsche penalty

New Zealander Matt Halliday put in a well judged performance on a damp but drying track to clinch pole position for this afternoon’s GT1 World Championship qualifying race in Zolder, Belgium, but then received a three-place grid penalty for crossing the white line at the pit exit during the session.
