They won the last two races of the 2011 season, and now they’ve won the first two races of 2012: Belgian BMW team Marc VDS Racing continued their remarkable winning streak in the Blancpain Endurance Series today at Silverstone.

GT1 World Championship: Audi on pole at Zolder after Porsche penalty

New Zealander Matt Halliday put in a well judged performance on a damp but drying track to clinch pole position for this afternoon’s GT1 World Championship qualifying race in Zolder, Belgium, but then received a three-place grid penalty for crossing the white line at the pit exit during the session.

After the rain and gloom of Easter Sunday, bright and dry weather greeted the GT1 World competitors for Easter Monday’s full-points championship race. Several drivers made blisteringly good starts off the grid – some a little too good, as subsequent jump-start penalties would reveal.

GT1 World Championship: Ortelli and Vanthoor lead WRT Audi 1-2 in Nogaro

Team WRT opened their GT1 World Championship campaign with a 1-2 sweep in today’s opening round of the series at Nogaro, France. Young Belgian Laurens Vanthoor and experienced Monagesque Stephane Ortelli produced a calculating performance in difficult damp conditions to take the win.
